Looking for a guest post

Since I started this whole blogering thing I've heard a lot of people talk about auctionator yet haven't found the time to try it out. It's obviously a great tool with so many accomplished people singing it's praises and I'm sure that I'm certainly not the only one that's in the dark about it. So there's a lot of people that stand to gain from a walk through for it, myself included. I also have not had a guest entry before so I'm sure you can tell where I'm going with this.

Are you a pro at auctionator or similar addOns for the AH game? Want to be immortalized on this super secret yet super awesome blog? Send me an email to theahpile@gmail.com with what you've written. I'll set a tentative deadline for 2 weeks from now as next week's entry schedule of mine is full but all of the next is open and flexible.

I would prefer that you included a name but I won't require it. If you have a blog, wow related or otherwise, please include a link and a short overview of what it is and I'll be sure to add in a few plugs and pop it onto the blog roll.

As for the content, please be as detailed as possible with a step by step walk through of setting it up. Screen shots are a big plus of course. Tell us all how you use it, what you specifically use it for, and what other addOns you use in conjunction with it.

Hope to hear from you soon!

  1. there is nothing to say really, just load it up and play with it, it runs in parallel with auctioneer, it just adds 3 new tabs...
alt click and shift click are your friends and scan current auctions its great if you are trying to move glyphs on a server like the on i am currently on. scan all acutions and then it gives you the option to cancel every auction that has been undercut... quick and easy for reposting. No explanation needed, just do it.

Shift click, anything in your bag or your crafting window, and it starts a look to buy that item... easier that trying to spell them names imo...

Alt click stuff in you bags to sell it...

I the buy search feature too, for instance, if you type "bold" it will list all items that are "bold" like cardinal rubies. and it give you a list of item that have "bold" in the name, mouse over till you find the one you want, clik and you get a list of items price sorted.

Also as i am in the scribe business, i like the herb sorting, it says 168x1 cinderbloom. at price 3.5, 15x2 @ 3.5 etc... easy for sorting and condensing the pages...

There was no set up for me, later on shoping list you can make are great, but so intuitive that if you can not figure it out you may not be successful at playing the AH game anyway.

Only caution, is the shift click mechanic of you professions window and auctionator can be a bit clunky, you just have to play with it a little and figure out which window to open first or click in a text box.

summary, download, play with it, shift click items to buy (from your crafting book too), and alt click items to sell from your bags. shoping lists.. great summary of what up and what prices... like it makes the one entry for the clown listing 168 bars, ores, herbs, thats just one line... click it and click buy 168 times, let postal do that thing......
